The life of 63-year-old Andreas Brehme was cut short by a heart attack.

In Tuesday, February 20, the famous German footballer, 1990 world champion Andreas Brehme, died.

As reported by The Mirror, Brehme died at home in Munich. The cause of death of the 63-year-old German was a heart attack.

Andreas is the 1990 world champion as part of the German national team. It was he who scored the winning goal from a penalty kick in the final match of the Mundial against Argentina in the 85th minute.

In addition to the 1990 gold, Brehm also has silver in the 1986 World Cup and bronze in the home European Championship 1988 and a silver medal at Euro 1992.

During his career, Andreas played 86 matches for the German national team, in which he scored eight goals.

Brehme played as a flanker and midfielder. At club level, he played for Barmbek-Ullerhorst, Saarbrücken, Kaiserslautern, Bayern, Inter and Zaragoza.

With Bayern and Kaiserslautern he won the championship Germany, the Cup and the Super Cup of the country, as part of the Munich giants he reached the final of the European Cup.

With Inter he won Serie A, the Italian Super Cup and the UEFA Cup, and with Zaragoza he won the Spanish Cup .

In the first half of the 2000s, Brehme worked as the head coach of Kaiserslautern and Unterhaching, and was an assistant to Giovanni Trapattoni at Stuttgart.
