Anastasia Manevskaya won two “silver” in weight up to 87 kg.

The Ukrainian teamwon two more awards at the 2024 European Championships inweightlifting, which takes place in Sofia (Bulgaria). Anastasia Manevskaya won two silver medals.

The 25-year-old Ukrainian became the vice-champion of the continent in the weight category up to 87 kilograms. Anastasia climbed to the podium in the clean and jerk and in the combined event.

In the snatch, Manevskaya took the weight 102 kg (sixth result), in the clean and jerk – 128 kg. This allowed her to take second place and win silver both in the clean and jerk and in the combined event (230 kg).

The Norwegian Solfrid Coanda became the European champion, with a total result of 280 kilograms.

1. Solfrid Coanda (Norway) – 120 kg (snatch) + 160 kg (clean and jerk) = 280 kg

2. Anastasia Manevskaya (Ukraine) – 102 kg + 128 kg = 230 kg

3. Hripsime Khurshudyan (Armenia) – 105 kg + 122 kg = 227 kg

Manevskaya became the European vice-champion in weightlifting for the third time in a row. At the two previous continental championships, she became the absolute vice-champion of the Euro: she won silver in the snatch, clean and jerk and combined events.

In general, Ukraine at Euro 2024 in weightlifting already has 12 medals: 5 gold, 6 silver and one bronze.

We recall that earlier Kamila Konotop became the absolute European champion, won three gold medals, and Pavel Zalipsky won “silver”. Also European championsAnna Davydova and Svetlana Samulyak, who between them won six medals.
