Harlan won bronze at the Fencing World Cup in Athens

This is Olga's 32nd medal in her career at the World Cup level.

p>Ukrainian saber fencer Olga Kharlan won a bronze medal at the Fencing World Cup in Athens (Greece).

The 33-year-old Ukrainian began her performances in the 1/32 finals. On the way to the quarterfinals, she passed the Frenchwoman Kelly Luzinier (15:14), the Azerbaijani Polina Kaspyarovich (15:13) and the American Magda Skarbonkiewicz (15:13).

In the 1/4 finals, Olga dealt with the current champion World Cup Misaki Emura from Japan (15:8) and thus guaranteed herself a medal.

In the semi-finals, Harlan was defeated by Spaniard Lucia Martin-Portugues (14:15) and ended up with a bronze medal.

For Harlan, this is the 32nd medal in her career at the World Cup level and her tenth bronze medal. In February of this year, shewongold at the Fencing World Cup in Peru.

We would like to remind you that during her career Olga won four medals at the Olympic Games. She became an Olympic champion (2008) and a silver medalist (2016) in the team saber, and also won two bronze medals in individual competitions (2012, 2016).
