Another Ukrainian, Angelina Kalinina, stopped in the semifinals of the competition in Austin.

Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk reached the final of the WTA 500 tournament in American San Diego.

21-year-old native of Kiev (No. 34 WTA) in the semi-finals she won a strong-willed victory over the first seeded American Jessica Pegula (No. 5 WTA) at the tournament 7:6, 6:1.

The fight lasted 1 hour 37 minutes. Kostyuk lost in the first set with a score of 1:5, but managed to bounce back and snatched victory in the tiebreaker. And in the second game, the Ukrainian gave only one game to her opponent.
