Real Madrid leader Bellingham was disqualified following the scandalous match with Valencia

The Englishman was punished for his disdainful attitude towards the chief referee.

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham will not be able to help his team in the upcoming matches of the Spain Championship due to disqualification.

As reported by Marca , the 20-year-old Englishman was suspended for two matches for his behavior after the end of the 27th round of La Liga game with Valencia.

“Bats” and “creamy” separated at the Mestalla stadium in Valencia with a fighting draw with the score 2:2, and one of the goals was scored by the hosts’ Ukrainian forward Roman Yaremchuk.

The match ended in a loud scandal. In the 90+9th minute, when the teams played seven stoppage minutes, Bellingham scored the third goal against the hosts after a cross from Brahim Diaz. However, a moment before this, the main referee of the match, Jesus Gil Manzano, blew the final whistle, so the ball was not counted.

Real Madrid players, among whom was Ukrainian goalkeeper Andrei Lunin, immediately rushed to the referee to express their complaints. As a result, Bellingham received a straight red card for arguing with the referee.

However, Jude was not able to get away with one match ban. In the post-game report, the referee noted that Bellingham shouted at him, “It’s a fucking goal.” For his disdainful attitude towards the referee, the leader of the Royal Club will miss the upcoming Primera matches against Celta and Osasuna.

This season, Bellingham played 22 matches for the Madrid club in the Spanish Championship, in which he scored 16 goals and made three assists.

Real (66 points) leads La Liga, 7 points ahead of Girona, Ukrainians Artem Dovbik and Viktor Tsygankov.

Wednesday, March 6, Carlo Ancelotti's team will host the return match of the 1/8 finals of the Champions League with the German RB Leipzig. In the first match, Lunin's saves helped Real to win over the Bulls with a score of 1:0.
