Savo Milosevic wants his team to focus exclusively on the game.
The head coach of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina Savo Milosevic commented on the upcoming semi-final match of the play-off qualifying for the Euro 2024against the national team of Ukraine.
The Serbian specialist noted that his players must fully concentrate on their actions on the field, and not be distracted by other things, including the war in Ukraine.
“If we do everything right, I hope we will play European Championship. For this you need to make every effort and the guys understand this.
I like this job, I do it and I feel good. Leading the national team is a very prestigious and important job. I was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina and I consider this challenge my own, which is why I am very happy to work with this team.
I still feel confident even though recent results have been disappointing. But the point is that this was preparation for what will happen next.
Now the situation in Ukraine is what it is. I think we should try to focus only on what will happen on the field. The situation and problems in Ukraine are their problems. We shouldn't be interested in refereeing, nothing other than what we need to do on the field.
I don't think Ukraine is much better than us in terms of individual qualities. Many things are decided by the team using tactics. Footballers must understand that they must solve problems as a team,” Milosevic was quoted as saying by Federalna.
Earlier it was reported that the Bosnians announced a bid for the Euro 2024 qualifying play-off match against Ukraine. The list includes four football players who play in the Russian championship.
The match Bosnia and Herzegovina – Ukraine will take place on March 21 in the city of Zenica at the Bilino Pole stadium. The starting whistle will sound at 21:45 Kiev time .
If Sergei Rebrov's team defeats the Bosnians, then on March 26 in Wroclaw, Poland, at the Tarczynski Arena Wroclaw stadium they will play a decisive match for access to the European Championship against the winner of the Israel-Iceland pair.
Let us remind you that in case of reaching the Euro 2024 final tournament the Ukrainian national team will play there in Group E against Belgium, Slovakia and Romania.
Matches of the Euro 2024 final tournament from June 14 to 14 July 2024 will be held in Germany.
