Ukrainian saber fencers won their second consecutive team medal at the Fencing World Cup

The Ukrainian saber fencing team won a bronze medal at the World Cup in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium.

Olga Kharlan, Alina Komashchuk, Yulia Bakastova and Elena Kravatskaya climbed to the podium as part of the Ukrainian team.

The Ukrainians started the competition from the 1/8 finals, where they defeated Poland with a score of 45: 38. In the quarterfinals, the “blue-yellows” turned out to be stronger than the US team (45:43).

In the semifinals, the Ukrainian team lost to the world ranking leaders, the French, with a score of 39:45.

In the match For bronze, the Ukrainians defeated the South Korean team (45:38). The fate of the confrontation was determined by the last fight with the participation of Kharlan, who made five injections in a row without receiving a single one in response.

Note that this is the second consecutive team medal for Ukrainian saber fencers in the Fencing World Cup season. At the last stage in Athens (Greece), our compatriots won team silver.
