Bayer beat Freiburg on the road in the match of the 26th round of the German Bundesliga2: 3.

Already in the 2nd minute of the meeting, Leverkusen took the lead by Florian Wirtz, to which the hosts responded eight minutes later with a goal scored by Ritsu Doana.

However, the “pharmacists” still went into the break as a leader – by 40 in the 1st minute, Adam Glozek scored a goal.

At the start of the second half, Xabi Alonso’s team increased their handicap – in the 53rd minute, Patrick Schick.

In the 79th minute, the hosts managed to reduce the gap through the efforts of Yannick Keitel, however, this was not enough to avoid defeat.

Review of the match “Freiburg” – “Bayer”

Thus, Bayer continues to go undefeated in the current German championship – the Leverkusen club has won 22 matches and drawn four.

Alonso's team leads the standings with 70 points Bundesliga, 10 points ahead of Bayern. Freiburg (33 points) is in ninth position.

In the next round of the German championship, after the international break, Bayer will host Hoffenheim on March 30, and Freiburg will play away on the same day with Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Note that Bayer has never won gold in the Bundesliga – Leverkusen's best result was silver, with which the team finished the season five times (the last time was in 2011 year).
