Evgeniy Marusyak showed the best result at the World Cup in the history of Ukraine.

Evgeniy Marusyakset a new Ukrainian record for ski jumping. At the 2023/24 World Cup in Planika, Slovenia, he managed to fly 228.5 meters.

With this result, the 24-year-old Ukrainian athlete took fifth place in qualifying.

Marusyak by 5 .5 meters surpassed the previous record, which he himself set on March 15 of this year in qualifying for the World Cup in Vikersund, Norway.

It is worth noting that Evgeniy remains the only Ukrainian in history who flew over the 200-meter mark from the springboard .

Marusyak's fifth place is the new best result of Ukrainian ski jumpers in World Cup qualifying.

We would like to add that another Ukrainian, Vitaly Kalinichenko, jumped 186.5 in the qualifications in Planika meters and took 46th place, failing to make it to the main round.

Before the final stages of the season, Marusyak ranks 48th in the overall standings of the 2023/24 World Cup. Kalinichenko did not score any points during the competition year.
