"Blue-yellow” confidently beat the team of North Macedonia.
The youth team of Ukraine (U-19)started their performances in the elite round of qualification for the Euro 2024. Our team in Skopje beat its peers from North Macedonia (0:2).
The Blue-Yellows took the lead at the end of the first half. In stoppage time, Daniil Krevsunplayed on the rebound after a corner kick and accurately fired into the near corner. For the 18-year-old Borussia Dortmund midfielder, this was his debut match for the Ukrainian U-19 national team.
At the beginning of the second half, the Ukrainians strengthened their lead in the score. In the 48th minute, Dynamo Kyiv forward Matvey Ponomarenko sent the ball into the corner of the Macedonian goal from outside the penalty area.
Dmitry Mikhailenko's team finished the match in the majority – in the 75th minute, defender Anes Meglichi was sent off as part of the Macedonians.

To qualify for the continental championship, the Ukrainians must take first place in their group.
Winners of the elite round groups will join the host, Northern Ireland, in the final stage, which will take place on July 15-28, 2024 and will be the UEFA qualifying team for the 2025 World Cup (U-20).
