The Ukrainian will compete for the interim WBC belt with American David Benavidez.

Fight of Ukrainian boxer Alexander Gvozdyk strong> for the WBC interim world light heavyweight title against David Benavidez will take place on June 15 in Las Vegas.

This was announced by the promotion company Premier Boxing Champions.

Earlier, the Ukrainian himselfnamed the date and placeof the fight with Benavidez. On his Instagram page, he announced that the fight will take place on June 22 in Houston, Texas.

However, now the organizers of the fight have made an official announcement that the fight between Alexander and David will take place on June 15 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas -Vegas on the undercard of the fight between the WBA lightweight champion and the American. Gvozdyk, in his last fight on the night of October 1 last year, knocked out Brazilian Isaac Rodriguez. For the Ukrainian, this was the third fight after returning to boxing.

27-year-old Benavidez won 28 victories (24 by knockout) in 28 fights in the professional ring. He fought his last fight in November 2023, when he defeated American Demetrius Andrade.
