semi-final matches of the Conference League
As part of the first matches of the 1/2 finals of the Conference League Aston Villalost at home to Olympiacos (2:4), and Fiorentina won at home >Club Brugge(3:2).
In the match at Villa Park in Birmingham, the Greek team scored twice in the first half with >Ayouba El-Kaabi, to which the hosts responded with a goal from Ollie Watkins.
At the start of the second half Moussa Diabyrestored parity in the match. However, Olympiacos managed to score twice more and win – El Kaabi scored a penalty, and then the final score was set by Santiago Essay.
Note that the English club missed a chance to reduce the gap in the 84th minute – Douglas Louise missed a penalty.
Return match between Olympiacos and Aston Villa will take place in a week, on May 9, in Greece.

In the other semi-final match, Riccardo Sottil already in the 5th minute put Fiorentina ahead, but in the 17th minute Brugge came back – the penalty was converted by Hans Vanaken.
Even before the break, the Violets regained their advantage in the score – in the 37th minute, Andrea Belotti scored in the 37th minute.
In the second half, the Belgian club remained in the minority – Rafael Onyedika was sent off in the 61st minute, having earned two yellow cards in just three minutes.
Even with ten players, the guests managed to equalize the score – in the 63rd minute, a precise shot struck by Igor Thiago.
However, in stoppage time, the Italian team still took advantage of the numerical majority and snatched victory – in the 90+1st minute the decisive goal in M'Bala Nzola scored in this match.

The return match between Club Brugge and Fiorentina will take place on May 8 in Belgium.
Final The Conference League will take place on May 29 at the Hagia Sophia Stadium in Athens.
