Marina became a medalist in the triple jump competition.

Ukrainian athlete Marina Bekh-Romanchuk won a bronze medal in the triple jump at the Diamond League stage in Monaco.

28-year-old native of Khmelnitsky region took third place with a score of 14.81 meters.

This is the fourth best jump of the Ukrainian woman in her career, her personal record in this discipline is 15.02 m.

The “gold” of the competition in Monaco was won by Leyanis Perez Hernandez from Cuba – 14 .96 m. “Silver” was taken by Thea Lafond from Dominica – 14.87 m.

For Bekh-Romanchuk, this was the first start since January 2024. Due to injuries, Marina missed the 2024 World Indoor Championships and the 2024 European Championships, and also did not compete at the previous stages of the Diamond League.

In July 2023, Bekh-Romanchuk fulfilled the Olympic standard and qualified for the 2024 Olympics in triple jump. At the last two Olympic Games, she competed in the long jump and remained without medals.

The 33rd Summer Olympic Games will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11, 2024. The competition will feature 329 sets of medals in 32 sports.

It was previously reported that Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Maguchikh broke the world record in women's high jump.
