"Red Fury" set a record for the number of European championships won.
The national team of Spain defeated the national team of England in the final match of Euro 2024 strong> in football. The match at the Olympiastadion in Berlin ended with the score 2:1.
The first half of the match passed without any goals scored. The Red Fury had more possession of the ball, but the Three Lions defended well and did not allow the opponents to create anything dangerous near their own goal.
At the start of the second half, Luis de la Fuente's team took the lead. In the 47th minute, 17-year-old Lamin Yamal passed the ball from the right flank to Nico Williams, who perfectly fired into the lower right corner from outside the penalty area.
Gareth Southgate's side pulled back in the 73rd minute. Bukayo Saka made a pass down the right flank, passed it centrally to Jude Bellingham, and he threw it back, where Cole Palmer, who had come on as a substitute three minutes earlier, hit the bottom left corner with a shot from outside the penalty area.
