Dynamo learned about potential opponent in the third qualifying round of the Champions League

On Monday, July 22, the draw for the third round of qualifying for the Champions League season 2024/25 took place in Nyon, Switzerland.

Dynamo Kiev also recognized their potential opponent at this stage, which will begin the fight from the second qualifying round, where they will play against the Serbian Partizan.

The winner of the Dynamo pair is Partizan will compete with the Scottish Rangers in the third round of Champions League qualifying. The first match will take place on August 6/7, the return match on August 13.

During the draw for the 3rd round of the Champions League qualification, the Kiev club had the status of unseeded in the League Path. Potential opponents included Rangers (Scotland), Slavia (Czech Republic), Salzburg (Austria) and Lille (France).

Note that the Dynamo vs. Partizan matches will take place July 23 and 31. The first match will be nominally home for the vice-champion of Ukraine and will take place in Lublin, Poland. The return match will be held in Belgrade.

If Dynamo can get past Partizan, it will secure a European Cup autumn – at least a spot in the main stage of the Conference League. In case of a loss, the Kiev club will continue to compete in the third round of the Europa League qualification.

Recall that Shakhtar Donetsk, as the champion of Ukraine, automatically received a ticket to the main round of the Champions League.
