The decisive match of the tournament ended with a score of 80:58 (18:12, 25 :18, 21:13, 16:15) in favor of the Romanians. Thus, Valery Plekhanov's team became the silver medalist of the European Championship.
Despite this defeat, reaching the EuroBasket Youth Final guaranteed the Ukrainians a promotion in class – after two years of absence, the “blue-yellows” returned to the elite Division A, where they will play next summer.
In the match for third place in the EuroBasket 2024 youth in Division B, the Finnish team defeated the Netherlands team.
