They will fight for a place in the elite division” Minai”, “Metalist 1925”, “Left Bank” and “Epicenter”.
On Monday, July 22, the UAF Executive Committee met at the Football House, which decided how to determine the team that will replace Dnepr-1 in the season UPL-2024/25.
As reported on the official website of the UAF, a transitional tournament will be organized with the participation of four clubs (Minai, Metalist 1925, Left Bank and Epicenter), the winner of which will receive the right to play in the elite division.
The tournament will consist of semi-finals and a final, which will take place on July 26 and 30. The composition of the semi-final pairs will be determined by a blind draw. If the winner is not determined in regular time, then a series of post-match penalties will be held immediately.
Note that at the end of last season, “Minaj” and “Metalist 1925” were relegated from the UPL, finishing 15th and 16th places respectively.
Left Bank and Epicenter finished in 3rd and 4th positions in the First League and participated in the play-offs for the right to play in the UPL 2024/25, where they lost to Obolon and Veres, respectively.
It was previously reported that Dnepr-1 was expelled from the UPL participants. The Dnepr club decided to withdraw from the competition due to financial problems.
