On Wednesday, July 24, the Ukrainian national football team will begin performances at the2024 Olympics. The first opponent of Ruslan Rotan's team in the group stage will be the Iraq team.
The match will take place in Lyon at the Parc Olympique Lyonne stadium. The starting whistle will sound at 20:00 Kyiv time.
In another match of the first round of Group B, Argentina and Morocco will meet (July 24, kick-off at 16:00 Kyiv time).
Our country will be represented at the Olympic football tournament for the first time in history. The Blue-Yellows received a ticket to the Gamesthanks to the fact that the Ukrainian youth team (U-21) reached the semi-finals of Euro 2023.

The men's football tournament of the 2024 Olympic Games will last from July 24 to August 9 in seven cities in France: Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Bordeaux, Saint-Etienne, Nice and Nantes.
After the match with Iraq, Rotan’s team will play against the Moroccan team in the second round on July 27 in Saint-Etienne. The Ukrainians will complete the group round on July 30 with a match in Lyon with the Argentina national team.
The two best teams from each quartet will advance to the playoffs. If the “blue-yellows” manage to make it to the quarterfinals, they will compete there with a representative of group A (France, USA, Guinea, New Zealand).
According to the regulations, players who were born in the Olympics can take part in the Olympic football tournament after January 1, 2001. Each team was allowed to include only three performers over this age in the application.
