Ukrainian swimmer Mykhailo Romanchuk will become the second flag bearer of Ukraine at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
The NOC of Ukraine reported this on its official Telegram channel.
Earlier it became known that tennis player Elina Svitolina will carry the Ukrainian flag at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games. Thus, at the opening of the Games in Paris, our country will have two flag bearers at once.
It should be noted that at the last 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, which took place in 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Ukrainian flag was carried by Olena Kostevych (shooting) and Bohdan Nikishin (fencing).
Svitolina and Romanchuk are medalists of the 2020 Olympic Games. Elina won bronze in the singles tournament in Tokyo, and Mikhail won silver and bronze in the 1500 and 800 meter freestyle, respectively.

The XXXIII Summer Olympics will last in the French capital from July 26 to August 11, 2024. A total of 329 sets of medals will be awarded in 32 sports.
