The day before the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games, qualifying competitions in archery took place, in which the Ukrainian Veronika Marchenko participated.

She took 25th place with a score of 657 points. Veronica also recognized her opponent in the 1/32 finals. She will be the 19-year-old representative of Chinese Taipei Li Chai Qi, who made her debut at the World Cup level in 2024.

The winner of the qualification was the 21-year-old representative of South Korea Lim Si Hyun, scoring 694 points out of a possible 720.

She broke the world record of her compatriot Kang Cheyon, who scored 692 points at the 2019 World Championships. Thus, the first world record was set at the 2024 Olympics.

The XXXIII Summer Olympics will be held from July 26 to August 11, 2024 in Paris.

In total, there will be 329 sets of medals were played in 32 sports. Ukraine will be represented by 140 athletes who will compete in 23 sports.
