Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina failed to reach the quarterfinals of the singles 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

In the third round match, she lost to the current champion Wimbledon – Czech Barbora Krejcikova. The match lasted 2 hours 48 minutes and ended with the Ukrainian losing with a score of 6:7, 6:2, 4:6.

Svitolina played at the Olympics for the third time in her career. In Rio 2016, she reached the quarterfinals, and in Tokyo 2020, she won bronze.

Thus, in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Olympics in singles, Ukraine will be represented only by Marta Kostyuk, who beat Maria Sakkari from Greece in the 1/8 finals – 4:6, 7:6, 6:4.

Recall that Ukrainian tennis players also continue to fight for medals in the doubles tournament of the 2024 Olympics. The duo Marta Kostyuk/Dayana Yastremskaya, as well as the tandem Lyudmila and Nadezhda Kichenok, made it to the second round.
