Serhiy won the second Olympic award in his career.
Ukrainian shooter Serhiy Kulish commented on winning “silver” at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Kulish won the award in rifle shooting in three positions at a distance of 50 meters.
“Right now I'm overwhelmed with emotions. It's always like this after some medal, it's always like this. It's even hard to describe what these emotions are, because they're off the charts.
How did you manage to maintain concentration? It's a conversation with yourself, it's hard. Our sport is more technical and static. But somehow we managed it – this is not the first time, so we have experience,” Suspilne Sport quotes Kulish as saying.
For 31-year-old Kulish, this is the second Olympic medal in his career. At the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, he won silver in rifle shooting from 10 meters.
Kulish's silver is Ukraine's second medal at the 2024 Olympics. The first award for our country was won by fencer Olga Kharlan – “bronze” in the individual sabre tournament.
Ukraine is represented at the XXXIII Summer Olympics by 140 athletes who compete in 23 sports. The Games in Paris will last until August 11.
