Another Ukrainian, Olha Korsun, failed to qualify.

Ukrainian track and field athlete Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk reached the final of the triple jump competition at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The 29-year-old native of the Khmelnytsky region came in seventh in the qualification with a result of 14.30 meters.

Another Ukrainian, Olha Korsun, failed to make it to the final. She completed the qualification with one successful attempt at 13.06 meters.

According to the competition regulations, athletes who met the qualification standard (14.35 meters) or entered the top 12 based on the results of the qualification reached the final.

The 2024 Olympic triple jump final will be held on Saturday, August 3. The start is at 21:20 Kyiv time.

Bekh-Romanchuk will compete in the triple jump final at the Olympics for the first time in her career. At the last two Olympic Games, she competed in the long jump and was left without medals.

Let's add that in early July of this year, Bekh-Romanchuk won bronze in the triple jump at the Diamond League stage in Monaco, showing a result of 14.81 meters. Her personal best in this discipline is 15.02 meters.

Ukraine is represented at the XXXIII Summer Olympics by 140 athletes who compete in 23 sports. The Games in Paris will last until August 11.

The “blue-yellows” currently have two medals from the 2024 Olympics: Olha Kharlan won bronze in sabre fencing, and Serhiy Kulish won silver in shooting.
