The new season of the national championship will begin on August 3.
On Saturday, August 3, the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) season-2024/25 will start.
The opening match of the Ukrainian Football Championship will be a meeting between Veres and Karpaty, who will play in the elite of Ukrainian football for the first time from the 2019/20 season.
There will also be another match on Saturday: Kryvbas will host Chornomorets.
Four matches of the opening round are scheduled for Sunday. LNZ will test the strength of the elite division debutant “Left Bank” – the Kiev club chose a ticket to the UPL in the “Tournament of Four” for the right to replace “Dnipro-1”, which was excluded due to financial problems.
On Sunday, the debut official match of the season will be held by the current champion “Shakhtar”, who will come to visit “Vorskla”.
In addition, “Obolon” will fight “Kolos”, and “Zorya” will measure its strength with “Ingulets”, which returned to the UPL after a year's absence.
The matches “Alexandria” – “Dynamo” and “Rukh” – “Polesie” were postponed at the request of the clubs due to the fact that their players had recently participated in the Ukrainian national team at the 2024 Olympics.
