Yuriy Vernydub's team started the championship successfully.
Kryvbas beat Chornomorets in the match of the 1st round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) of the 2024/25 season. The match at the Gornyak stadium in Krivoy Rog ended with a score of 1:0.
Yuriy Vernydub's team scored the only goal in this match at the very beginning. Yegor Tverdokhlib scored already in the sixth minute.
This goal was the first in the new UPL season, because in the opening match of the championship, Veres and Karpaty did not score goals and shared points (0:0).

In the second round of the Ukrainian championship, Vernydub's team will play on August 11 at away to meet Karpaty. The day before, Chornomorets will host Zorya.
