Ukrainian track and field athlete Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk competed in the final of the triple jump competition at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The 29-year-old native of the Khmelnytsky region took 11th place in the final. She made only one successful attempt, jumping 13.98 meters.

The Ukrainian athlete missed her first and second attempts. To continue the fight, she needed to get into the top 8 and jump 14.14 meters in her third attempt.

However, Maryna was unable to do this and with a result of 13.98 meters, she prematurely stopped competing in the final, taking the penultimate place.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine won its first “gold” at the 2024 Olympics. The Ukrainian fencers in team sabre became champions of the Games in Paris.

In total, Ukraine has already won three medals at the 2024 Olympics. Earlier, Harlan won “bronze” in the individual sabre championship, and Serhiy Kulish won “silver” in shooting.

Another award at the 2024 Olympics, at least a bronze one, was guaranteed for Ukraine by Oleksandr Khizhnyak, who reached the semi-finals of the boxing tournament.

Ukraine is represented at the XXXIII Summer Olympics by 140 athletes who compete in 23 sports. The Games in Paris will last until August 11.
