On this day, Ukraine will be represented at the Olympics by 17 Ukrainian athletes, seven of whom will be competing for medals.
The “blue and yellow” will compete for medals in cycling (Yulia Biryukova), clay pigeon shooting (Irina Malovichko), artistic gymnastics (Nazar Chepurnyi, Igor Radivilov) and track and field, where Yaroslava Mahuchikh and Irina Gerashchenko will compete in the high jump final, and Mikhail Kokhan will try to climb the podium in the hammer throw.
Also on this day, boxer Alexander Khizhnyak, who previously guaranteed himself at least a “bronze” at the 2024 Olympics, will hold his semi-final fight.

Before the ninth day of competition, the “blue-yellows” already have three medals from the 2024 Olympics: one gold, one silver and one bronze. Olga Kharlan won “bronze” in individual sabre, and together with Elena Kravatskaya, Alina Komashchuk and Yulia Bakastova won “gold” in team sabre. In addition, Sergey Kulish won “silver” in shooting.
