Ukrainian track and field athletes received their Olympic awards.

On Monday, August 5, the award ceremony for Ukrainian medalists of the 2024 Olympic Games in athletics took place.

The ceremony was held at the Stade de France stadium, which hosted the track and field competitions of the 2024 Games in Paris.

The first to take to the podium were the high jumpers: Irina Gerashchenko received a bronze medal, and newly-minted Olympic champion Yaroslava Mahuchikh received a gold medal.

Then, for the second time at this Olympics, the Ukrainian anthem was played. For the first time, this happened when our sabre fencers won gold in the team tournament.

Then the award ceremony for the 2024 Olympic medalists in hammer throw took place, during which Ukrainian Mikhail Kokhanreceived his bronze medal.

Ukraine is represented at the XXXIII Summer Olympics by 140 athletes who compete in 23 sports. The games in Paris will last until August 11.

According to the results of the tenth competition day, Ukraine has seven awards at the 2024 Olympics: two gold, two silver and three bronze. The Blue-Yellows occupy 18th position in the medal standings.
