Boxer Alexander Khizhnyak will fight for “gold”. Earlier, “Poltava Tank” reached the final, thereby guaranteeing itself at least a silver medal.
In the men's high jump qualification, three Ukrainian athletes tried to get to the final: Andrey Protsenko, Oleh Doroshchuk and Vladislav Lavsky. Only Doroshchuk managed to do so.
Also, Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion Zhan Beleniuk and Parviz Nasibov, who won silver at the last Olympics, had their first bouts in Greco-Roman wrestling. Both Ukrainians reached the semi-finals, which will also take place on August 7.
In addition, freestyle wrestler Oksana Livach will compete in the fight for bronze.

Schedule and results of the Ukrainians' performances on the twelfth day of the 2024 Olympics (August 7)
Athletics. Relay race walk, final: Ivan Banzeruk and Lyudmila Olyanovskaya finished 17th in 3:01:50 hours.
Canoe sprint. Kayak single, 500m, qualification: Maria Povkh finished fourth (1:54.13 minutes) and did not advance directly to the semifinals, in the quarterfinals she finished third in her heat (1:52.09 minutes) and advanced to the semifinals, which will be held on August 10.
Athletics. High jump, qualification: Oleh Doroshchuk reached the final(2.24 meters), Vladislav Lavskiy (failed to clear the 2.20 meter bar) and Andrey Protsenko (failed to clear the starting height of 2.15 meters) were eliminated.
Wrestling. Greco-Roman wrestling, up to 67 kg, 1/8 finals: Parviz Nasibov defeated Serbian Mate Nemes (3:2) in the 1/8 finals, defeated Amantur Ismailov from Kyrgyzstan (7:6) in the quarterfinals, will meet Azerbaijani Hasrat Dzhafarov in the semifinals (start at 19:15).
Wrestling. Greco-Roman wrestling, up to 87 kg, 1/8 finals: Zhan Beleniukin the 1/8 finals, he defeated China's Haitao Qian (7:1), in the quarterfinals he defeated Kazakhstan's Nursultan Tursinov (7:3), in the semifinals he will fight against Alireza Mohmadipiani from Iran (starts at 19:45).
Canoeing. Canoe single, 1000 m, qualification: Pavel Altukhov failed to qualify directly for the semifinals, finishing 5th in his heat with a result of 4:11.32. The quarterfinals with the participation of the Ukrainian will take place at 15:40.

Ukraine is represented at the XXXIII Summer Olympics by 140 athletes competing in 23 sports. The Games in Paris will last until August 11.
Before the twelfth day of competition, Ukraine has seven awards for the 2024 Olympics: two gold, two silver and three bronze. The “blue-yellows” are in 18th place in the medal standings.
