Kryvbas from Kryvyi Rih lost to the Czech Republic's Viktoria" Plzen in the first match of the third qualifying round of the 2024/25 Europa League. The match, nominally home for the Ukrainian club, in the Slovak city of Kosice ended with a score of 1:2.
Yuriy Vernydub's team started the match successfully – in the 20th minute, Prince Kwaben Adu put the Kryvyi Rih team ahead after a pass from Ivan Dibango. This goal allowed the UPL bronze medalist to go into the break as leaders.
However, already at the start of the second half, the Czech club got even – in the 48th minute, 16-year-old Jiri Panos scored a goal.
In the 69th minute, Vernydub's team conceded for the second time. Daniel Vashulin scored the goal that brought victory to Viktoria.
