Ukrainian freestyle wrestler Iryna Kolyadenko won a silver medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

In the final of the competition (weight category up to 62 kg) The 25-year-old Ukrainian lost to Japanese Motoka Sakura, who is number two in the world rankings. The fight for the gold ended with a score of 1:12.

On her way to the final, Kolyadenko defeated Orkhon Purevdorj from Mongolia (8:7) in the 1/8 finals, defeated Bulgarian representative Bilyana Dudova (7:3) in the quarterfinals, and defeated Kyrgyzstan representative Aisula Tynynbekova (9:2) in the semifinals, who is the silver medalist of the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

Thus, Kolyadenko took revenge on Tynynbekova for her defeat in the semifinals of the 2020 Olympics. At the Tokyo Games, the Ukrainian won bronze.

In addition, Iryna is a three-time European champion (2021, 2023, 2024), won bronze at the 2020 European Championships, as well as silver (2019) and bronze (2023) at the World Championships.
