 Ukraine entered the top 20 in terms of the number of medals won at the 2024 Olympics

Our team won 12 awards and took 17th place in the world in terms of quantity.

On Sunday, August 11, Ukraine completed its performance at the 2024 Olympics. At the Games in Paris, Ukrainian athletes managed to win 12 awards: three gold, five silver and four bronze.

With this result, Ukraine took 22nd place in the overall medal count.

Places in the Olympic medal count are determined by the number of gold medals won. In case of a tie in the number of top awards, the winner is taken into account, and then the winner is the bronze medalist.

But in terms of the number of medals won, Ukraine finished the 2024 Olympics in 17th place, which it shared with Iran.

The USA team won the most medals at the 2024 Olympics – 126. China (91) and Great Britain (65) took second and third places in terms of the number of awards, respectively.

Ukraine was represented at the XXXIII Summer Olympics by 140 athletes who competed in 23 sports. Our country was represented by the smallest number of athletes in its history at the Olympic Games.

The closing ceremony of the 2024 Olympics will be held on Sunday, August 11. The event starts at 22:00 Kyiv time.
