Yuriy Vernydub's team failed to respond to two goals conceded by the Spanish club.
Kryvbas from Kryvnytskyi suffered a defeat from Spanish Betis" in the first match of the Conference League qualifying playoffs season 2024/25. The match in the Slovakian city of Kosice ended with a score of 0:2.
The La Liga representative took the lead in the 13th minute of the match. Chimi Avila finished the ball into the goal from close range after Kryvyi Rih goalkeeper Andriy Klyschuk parried a long-range shot by Sergio Altimira in front of him.
At the start of the second half, Manuel Pellegrini's charges strengthened their lead in the score. In the 62nd minute, Rodri entered the Kryvbas penalty area from the right flank and sent the ball into the far corner.
Yuriy Vernydub's team was unable to respond to the two goals conceded by their opponent with at least one goal.
