Usyk vs. Fury: Bookmakers have identified the favorite in the rematch

The fight will take place on December 21 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

On December 21, 2024, Ukrainian WBA, WBO, WBC and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk will have a rematch with Briton Tyson Fury.

The fight will take place in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). All titles held by the Ukrainian boxer will be at stake.

Unlike the first fight, in which Usyk defeated Fury by split decision, this time the title of absolute world champion will not be at stake.

Earlier, Alexander renounced the IBF title. The new owner of this belt is Briton Daniel Dubois, who won ahead of schedule Croatian Filip Hrgovic.

The interim IBF heavyweight title was at stake in the fight between Dubois and Hrgovic, but after Usyk voluntarily vacated the belt, Daniel was promoted to full champion. He will make his first defense of the IBF title against his compatriot Anthony Joshua, which will take place on September 21 at Wembley Arena in London.

In the meantime, bookmakers are already accepting bets on the second fight between Usyk and Fury.

Bookmakers' forecasts for the Usyk-Fury rematch

The most likely result of the fight, bookmakers consider Usik's victory on points – 2.25 . Alexander's triumph by knockout – 4.50.

An early victory for the “Gypsy King” is estimated at 4.10. The Briton's success by decision is 6.50.

Usyk vs. Fury: results of the first fight

On the night of May 19, 2024, Usyk defeated Fury by split decision (115-112, 114-113, 113-114) in the main fight of the boxing show in Riyadh. At the end of the ninth round, Alexander knocked his opponent down.

Thus, Alexander defended his WBO, WBA, IBO and IBF belts, and also took the WBC title from the “Gypsy King”. Usyk became the first absolute world champion in the heavyweight division in the 21st century.

Before that, the last “absolute” heavyweight champion was Lennox Lewis, who won this status in 1999 when he defeated Evander Holyfield. At that time, the WBA, WBC and IBF titles were at stake. The WBO belt was declared equal in 2007, making Usyk the first heavyweight champion in history to hold four major titles.
