The newcomer to the elite division won a strong-willed victory in a match with two disallowed goals and an unconverted penalty of the opponent.

“Levyi Bereg” beat “Veres” in the match of the 5th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) 2024/25 season. The match at the Avangard stadium in Rivne ended with a score of 1:3.

In the 15th minute, Ruslan Stepanyuk put the home team ahead. The other two goals of the Rivne club in the first half were cancelled – the goal of Vladislav Sharai in the 8th minute was not counted due to offside, and the accurate strike of Mykola Gaiduchik in the 24th minute was not effective due to handball.

In the 34th minute, Veres had another chance to increase its advantage, but Gaiduchik did not convert the penalty.

However, in the second half, the capital team managed to make a spectacular comeback. In the 66th minute, Klim Prikhodko equalized the score. In the 82nd minute, Taras Galas put the newcomer to the elite division ahead, and the final point in the match was put in the 86th minute by Ruslan Dedukh, who converted a penalty.

Review of the match “Veres” – “Left Bank”

Having won its second victory in a row, “Left Bank” (6 points) rose to tenth place in the UPL. “Veres” (4 points) dropped to 12th position.

In the next round of the UPL, after the international break, “Left Bank” will host “Kryvbas” on September 15, and “Veres” will face “Polesye” away on the same day.
