"Liverpool" thrashed "Manchester United" in the central match of the "3rd round of the English Premier League (EPL)"season 2024/25. The match at Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester ended with a score of 0:3.
The visitors could have taken the lead already in the 7th minute of the match – Trent Alexander-Arnold sent the ball into the net of the Manchester United goal, but after watching the video replay (VAR), the goal was canceled due to Mohamed Salah being offside.
In the 35th minute, Liverpool scored according to the rules – Casemiro “cut off” in his half of the field, and Luis Diaz headed in Salah's pass at the far post.
In the 42nd minute, the Merseysiders doubled their advantage – Luis Diaz took the ball from Casemiro, and then scored with one touch, using a pass from Salah.
After the break, Arne Sloth's charges finished the job with a rout. In the 56th minute, another mistake by the Red Devils in their own half ended with Dominik Szoboszlai passing the ball to Salah, who shot into the right corner.
