The club whose footballer was taken from the station by TCC workers has withdrawn from the Ukrainian championship

FC “Khust” decided to refuse to play in the First League.

Football club “Khust”, whose player Mykola Sirash was taken from the train station by TCC workers, announced its withdrawal from the First League championship of the 2024/25 season.

At the same time, the Transcarpathian club noted that it will continue to exist and will develop children's football in the city.

“Yesterday, on September 4, for a number of objective reasons, an extremely difficult decision was made to withdraw the main team from the First League PFL championship.

The club will continue to exist and, as before, we will develop children's football in our city. Thank you to our fans for your sincere emotions and faith in the team. For sharing with us the joy of victories and supporting us in difficult times,” the club said in a statement.

Recall that on May 7, “Khust” reported that Sirash was taken directly from the city train station by TCC workers and taken to the military registration and enlistment office. At the time of his arrest, the footballer was 25 years old, although the law on mobilization had not yet entered into force. Later it became known that Nikolai was already serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
