Oleksandr Shovkovskiy's team won their fifth consecutive victory at the start of the Ukrainian championship.

Dynamo Kyiv beat Vorskla Poltava in a postponed match of the 4th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL)season 2024/25. The match at the Dynamo stadium named after Valeriy Lobanovskyi ended with a score of 3:1.

In the first half, Oleksandr Shovkovskiy's team scored twice – Brian Ceballos opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, and Oleksandr Karavayev doubled it two minutes later.

In the second half, Poltava reduced the gap – Samson Iede scored in the 81st minute.

But at the end of the match, the “white-blues” removed the question of the winner – Oleksandr Pikhalenok scored in the 90+1st minute.

For “Dynamo” this is the fifth victory in a row at the start of the current UPL season. Before that, the “white-blues” beat “Veres” (2:1), “Karpaty” (3:1), LNZ (1:0) and “Zorya” (2:0).

With 15 points, the Kyivans are the sole leaders of the UPL standings and are ahead of their closest pursuers – “Polesie” and “Oleksandria” – by 2 points. “Vorskla” with 8 points remained in ninth position.
