The Lviv club managed to win for the first time in five matches of the national championship.

"Karpaty" beat "Chernomorets" away in the opening match of the 7th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) 2024/25 season. The match in Odessa ended with a score of 0:1.

The first half of the match passed without any goals. At the start of the second half of the confrontation, the “lions” took the lead – in the 52nd minute, Taras Sakiv accurately hit the lower right corner from a free kick.

Soon, the Lviv team was left in the minority – in the 64th minute, Volodymyr Adamyuk received a second yellow card and was sent off the field due to the fact that he delayed the attack of the “sailors”.

However, the Odessa team was unable to take advantage of the numerical advantage. As a result, the “green-whites” held on to a minimal victory and broke their four-match winless streak in the UPL.

Review of the match “Chernomorets” – “Karpaty”

After this victory, “Karpaty” (8 points) rose to ninth place in the UPL. “Chernomorets” (6 points) is in 12th place.

In the next round of the UPL, the Lviv club will host “Polesye” on September 28. On the same day, the “sailors” will face LNZ on the road.
