 All participants of the 2024 Futsal World Cup playoffs have been determined: 1/8 final pairings

The Ukrainian national team will compete for a place in the quarterfinals with the Netherlands.

The group stage of the 2024 Futsal World Cup ended on Sunday, September 22., which is taking place in Uzbekistan.

Based on its results, all the teams that will continue the fight in the playoffs became known. Among them is the national team of Ukraine, which took second place in Group C behind Argentina, but ahead of Afghanistan and Angola.

The two best teams from each group, as well as four of the six teams that took third place in their quartets, advanced to the playoffs.

In the 1/8 finals, Oleksandr Kosenko's team will compete with the Netherlands. The match will take place on Tuesday, September 24, at 18:00 Kyiv time.

The tournament grid up to the final has also been formed. In case of success in the match with the Netherlands, the Ukrainian team will play the winner of the Spain – Venezuela pair in the quarterfinals.

Then the “blue-yellows” could potentially face a match against Brazil in the semifinals.

The Ukrainian national team is taking part in the Futsal World Cup for the sixth time in its history. The best result of the “blue-yellows” is fourth place in the debut tournament for our team in 1996.

At the 2004 and 2008 World Cups, the Ukrainian team stopped in the 2nd group round (top 8), in 2012 it reached the quarter-finals, and in 2016 it was eliminated in the 1/8 finals.
