The Milan derby ended in favor of the "Rossoneri".
"Milan" beat "Inter" in the central match of the 5th round of the Italian Serie A of the 2024/25 season. The match at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium in Milan ended with a score of 1:2.
The Rossoneri took the lead early in the match – Christian Pulisic scored after a solo run in the 10th minute.
In the middle of the first half, the Nerazzuri got even thanks to Federico Dimarco. So the teams went into the break with the score tied.
Milan played much better than their opponents in the second half and eventually managed to snatch victory. In the 89th minute, Matteo Gabbia headed in a free kick from Tijani Reynders.

Having won their second victory in the current Serie A, the Rossoneri moved up to seventh place with 8 points. The Nerazzuri also have 8 points and are in sixth place.
In the next round of the Italian championship, the team of the former coach of Donetsk Shakhtar Paulo Fonseca will host Lecce on September 27, and Simone Inzaghi's team will meet Udinese away a day later.
