Lyudmyla Kichenok becomes world's third racket in women's doubles.

Ukrainian tennis player Lyudmyla Kichenok rose to third place in the world doubles ranking.

This happened after she, together with Latvian Jelena Ostapenko became the 2024 US Open doubles champion.

Compared to the previous rating, Lyudmyla improved her position by two lines and thus set a new Ukrainian record in doubles, updating her own achievement.

In addition to updating the national record in doubles, Lyudmyla also repeated the absolute record of Ukraine in all world tennis rankings. Earlier in September 2017, Elina Svitolina became the third racket of the world in singles.

During her career, Lyudmyla Kichenok has won 11 WTA doubles titles, which is also a national record for doubles tennis.

She is a two-time winner of Grand Slam tournaments. In addition to winning the US Open 2024 women's doubles title, she triumphed in the Wimbledon 2023 mixed doubles.
