Chelsea defeated League 2 (the fourth-strongest English division – ed.) Barrow on their home field in the 1/16 finals of the English League Cup. The meeting at Stamford Bridge in London ended with a score of 5:0.
Enzo Maresca's team secured victory in the first half. Christopher Nkunku scored a brace, and visiting goalkeeper Paul Farman also scored an own goal.
At the start of the second half, the Blues scored their fourth goal. Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk made an assist into an empty net for Pedro Neto.
The final point in this match was put in the 75th minute by Nkunku, who thus made a hat-trick.
Mudryk came out in the starting lineup of Chelsea and played the entire match.
