In the 1/2 finals, the “blue-yellows” will play against Brazil.
The Ukrainian national futsal team defeated the national team of Venezuela in the quarterfinal match of the 2024 Futsal World Cup. The match in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) ended with a score of 9:4.
In the 5th minute of the match, Daniil Abakshin put the Ukrainians ahead after a cross from Igor Korsun. However, in the next minute, the Venezuelans recouped thanks to a goal from Francia.
In the 14th minute, the “blue-yellows” took the lead again – Petr Shoturma scored after a pass by Igor Chernyavsky.
And two minutes later, the Ukrainians scored a third goal – Abakshin made a successful finish after the Venezuelan goalkeeper parried a shot by Rostislav Semenchenko.
However, less than a minute later, Venezuela equalized the score – first, Viamonte converted a one-on-one with the Ukrainian goalkeeper after Abakshin's cut, and then Vidal scored with a one-touch shot after the ball was thrown in from the sideline.
And yet, Ukraine went into the break as the leader. In the 18th minute, Abakshin scored a hat-trick, and in the last 20th minute of the first half, Nazar Shved powerfully hammered the ball under the crossbar after a pass from a corner.
And already in the opening minute of the second half, Ukraine scored the sixth goal against Venezuela – Semenchenko scored after a pass from Abakshin.
In the 27th minute of the match, Oleksandr Kosenko's team scored for the seventh time in the South American goal: Ukraine goalkeeper Oleksandr Sukhov made a run from his half of the field and accurately shot into the top corner.
In the 30th minute, Morillo sent the fourth ball into Ukraine's goal, but two minutes later Chernyavsky scored and returned our team's handicap to four goals.
In the 38th minute, the Ukrainians scored for the ninth time: Mykola Mykytyuk hit the empty Venezuelan goal, taking advantage of Abakshin's pass.

In the semi-finals of the 2024 Futsal World Cup, the Ukrainian team will play against Brazil, which beat Morocco (3:1) in the quarter-finals. The match will take place on Wednesday, October 2.
The Ukrainian national team is participating in the Futsal World Cup for the sixth time in history. The best result of the “blue-yellows” is fourth place in the debut tournament for our team in 1996.
At the 2004 and 2008 World Cups, the Ukrainian team stopped in the 2nd group round (top 8), in 2012 it reached the quarter-finals, and in 2016 it was eliminated in the 1/8 finals.
