 Ukraine's youth team names squad for final Euro 2025 qualifying matches against England and Serbia

"Blue-yellow" advanced to the continental championship ahead of schedule, winning eight out of eight matches.

The Ukrainian youth football team (U-21) announced the roster for the final matches of the qualification for the 2025 European Championship against England and Serbia.

The head coach of the “blue-yellows” Unai Melgos called up 24 football players to the national team, the official website of the UAF reports.

The composition of the youth team of Ukraine (U-21)

Goalkeepers: Ruslan Neshcheret (Dynamo Kyiv), Dmytro Ledviy (Rukh Lviv), Vladislav Krapivtsov (without club).

Defenders:Ivan Ermachkov (Werder Bremen, Germany), Taras Mikhavko, Konstantin Vivcharenko (both Dynamo Kyiv), Vladimir Salyuk (Metalist 1925 Kharkov), Roman Didyk, Vitaly Roman (both Rukh Lviv), Artem Smolyakov (Polesie Zhytomyr), Ilya Krupsky (Vorskla Poltava).

Midfielders: Ivan Varfolomeev (Slovan, Czech Republic), Maxim Melnichenko (Polesie Zhytomyr) , Oleg Ocheretko (Karpaty Lviv), Valentin Rubchinsky, Nazar Voloshin, Maxim Bragaru (all Dynamo Kyiv), Egor Yarmolyuk (Brentford, England), Alexander Yatsyk (Zarya Lugansk), Oleg Fedor, Ilya Kvasnitsa (both – “Rukh” Lviv), Maxim Chlan (Lechia, Poland).

Forwards:Igor Krasnopir (Rukh Lviv), Igor Gorbach (Zorya Luhansk).

The Ukrainian youth team will play against the English on October 11 in Bournemouth at the Dean Court stadium (the game starts at 21:45 Kyiv time). Our team will play the match with the Serbs on October 15 in the city of Stara Pazova (the game starts at 21:30 Kyiv time).

We remind you that the Ukrainian youth team early qualified for Euro 2025, having won eight out of eight matches. With two rounds to go, the Blue-Yellows are leading their group with 24 points and even if they let England, who are five points behind, get a direct ticket to the European Championship as one of the three best second-placed teams.

The final part of Euro 2025 (U-21) will feature 16 teams: Slovakia (the host of the final tournament) and 15 more teams that will join it based on the results of the selection (nine group winners, three best second-placed teams and three winners of the playoff, in which the six second-placed teams will play).
