The Argentina national team defeated the France national team in the second semi-final 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup. The match in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) ended with a score of 3:2.
In the third minute of the match, Arrieta put the Argentines ahead, converting a penalty. However, in the sixth minute, the French responded with a goal from Menendez.
Two minutes later, the “albiceleste” took the lead again – Claudino scored. Argentina went into the break with a minimal advantage in the score.
At the beginning of the second half, France equalized for the second time in this match – in the 25th minute, Toure made an accurate strike.
In the 37th minute, the Argentines scored a third goal – Arrieta converted a penalty awarded by the referee for the sixth foul of the French.
In the final of the 2024 Futsal World Cup, Argentina will face Brazil, which beat Ukraine (3:2) in the first semi-final. The match for the “gold” will take place on Sunday, October 6. The start is at 18:00 Kyiv time.
On the same day, Ukraine will play a match for the “bronze” against France. The starting whistle will sound at 15:30 Kyiv time.
Recall that the Ukrainian national team reached the semi-finals of the Futsal World Cup for the second time in history and for the first time in 28 years. The first time this happened was at the debut tournament for our team in 1996, where it took fourth place.
The Ukrainian national team is participating in the Futsal World Cup for the sixth time in history. At the 2004 and 2008 World Cups, the Ukrainian team stopped in the 2nd group round (top 8), in 2012 it reached the quarter-finals, and in 2016 it was eliminated in the 1/8 finals.
