Oleksandr Shovkovskiy's team held on to their victory in a tough match.
“Dynamo" defeated “Kryvbas" in the match of the 9th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) of the 2024/25 season. The match at the capital's Valeriy Lobanovskyi Stadium ended with a score of 2:1.
Already in the 5th minute of the match, the “white-blues” opened the scoring – Valentin Rubchinsky scored.
In the 25th minute, Oleksandr Shovkovskiy's team strengthened their advantage in the score – Vitaliy Buyalsky converted a penalty.
Before the break, Yuriy Vernydub's team reduced the gap – Kyiv defender Taras Mikhavko cut the ball into his own goal after a pass from Kryvyi Rih from a free kick.
In the second half, the teams did not score, so Dynamo held on to the victory with a difference of one goal.

The victory allowed Dynamo to return to first place in the UPL with 22 points, where it was before the start of this round. The Kyivans are 2 points ahead of Poliesie and Oleksandriya, and Shakhtar is 6 points ahead. Kryvbas is in eighth place with 11 points.
In the tenth round of the UPL, which will take place after the international break, Dynamo will play away against Obolon on October 19, and Kryvbas will face Zorya a day later.
