Two more matches of the seventh round of the English Football Championship took place.
In the matches of the 7th round of the English Premier League (EPL)2024/25 season Chelsea failed to beat Nottingham at home (1:1), while Aston Villa and Manchester United failed to determine the strongest (0:0).
In the 49th minute, Nottingham opened the scoring thanks to Chris Wood. The Londoners soon equalized – Noni Madueke scored in the 57th minute.
In the 78th minute, the visitors were left with one man down – James Ward-Prowse earned a second yellow card.
However, the Blues failed to take advantage of their numerical advantage and snatch victory.
Chelsea's Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk came on as a substitute in the 90th minute for Jadon Sancho, but failed to make a memorable appearance.
Chelsea (14 points) are fourth in the English Championship, four points behind leaders Liverpool. Nottingham are ninth with 10 points.
In the eighth round of the Premier League matches, which will take place after the international break, Chelsea will play away to Liverpool on October 20, while Nottingham will host Crystal Palace a day later.
