The Miners left the Cherkasy team no chance.

Shakhtar crushed LNZ in the match of the 9th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) of the 2024/25 season. The match at the Arena Lviv ended with a score of 5:1.

The hero of the match was the miners' midfielder Georgy Sudakov, who scored four goals. The 22-year-old leader of the Donetsk club scored in the 13th, 50th, 53rd and 57th minutes.

Alexander Zubkov scored another goal for the orange-blacks in the 26th minute. The Cherkasy team responded only with a goal of prestige, which was scored by Shota Nonikashvili from the penalty spot in the 62nd minute.

Review of the match “Shakhtar” – LNZ

After this victory, “Shakhtar” with 16 points occupies the fourth place in the UPL. LNZ is in seventh position, with 12 points.

In the tenth round of the UPL, which will take place after the international break, Marino Pusic's team will meet Kolos away on October 18, and Andres Carrasco's team will play Ingulets at home on October 20.
