Sergey Bogachuk will face Israil Madrimov from Uzbekistan.

Ukrainian boxer Sergey Bogachuk will fight on the undercard of the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, which will take place on December 21 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). Arabia).

This was reported on social network X by the head of the General Authority for Entertainment of Saudi Arabia, Turki Al ash-Sheikh.

Bogachuk's opponent will be the former WBA world champion in the first middleweight division, Uzbekistan's Israil Madrimov.

In his last fight in August 2024, Bogachuk suffered a controversial defeat to American Virgil Ortiz and lost the WBC interim champion belt in the first middleweight division. The Ukrainian knocked his opponent down twice, but ultimately lost by split decision.

The Ukrainian won the interim WBC champion title at the end of March this year, defeating American Brian Mendoza. Bogachuk was supposed to box with American Sebastian Fundora for the full vacant WBC belt in the first middleweight division. However, the Ukrainian was deprived of the championship fight — Fundora replaced the injured Keith Thurman in a fight against Timofey Tszyu, where the WBO and WBC titles in the first middleweight division were at stake.

The 29-year-old native of Vinnytsia has 24 wins (23 by knockout) and two losses in the professional ring. Sergey lost for the first time in March 2021 to American Brandon Adams.

Madrimov has had 12 fights in professional boxing: 10 wins (7 by knockout), one draw and one loss. In August 2024, the Uzbek lost to American Terence Crawford by unanimous decision and lost the WBA light middleweight title.

It was previously reported that in the undercard of the Usyk-Fury fight, the WBO lightweight belt will be defended by Ukrainian Denis Berinchyk.
